Just received a fantastic call from Mom. They have the results back of all the testing that was done to determine if Dad had any bone or blood cancer that could have been the root cause of the decline of his kidney function. Everything came back negative! Woohoo! No cancer there.
As to the decline of his kidneys, they are stable with no further decline. He'll have to monitor them and watch his diet. There were several ideas that the doctor had as to why, nothing worth following up on at this time.
